There are three basic header display options within FavePersonal: featured posts, header image or no header
To change your header setting
- From the WordPress Dashboard: Appearance -> Theme Settings in the left navigation panel [image]
- Or, From Site Admin Bar (front end) — [Site Title] -> Theme Settings [image]
The Featured Post header option allows you to display brief samples of relevant or interesting posts from your blog.
Each featured post section can include any any available post format, including:
You can also ‘lock’ any post to a specific position in the Featured Posts header. Just scroll down to the Featured Post Position section
Header Image Display
The second header display option in your Theme Settings is Header Image.
Let’s first upload a header image. Navigate over to “Header Image” from the nav bar or in “Appearance” from the WordPress Dashboard.
From here you’ll need to upload your first image. As you can see, the image fits to 990×240 px wide, so larger image files generally look better. Once you’ve chosen an image, “upload” it to crop and adjust the image as you see fit. Then “crop and publish” to add to your site’s header.
You can upload any variety of header images to choose from. You can also randomize the header images for each site visit.
Tip: Be sure to “save changes” after making any modifications to the Header Image Settings.
No Header Display
Of course, you can always opt out of the fancy header options all together. Your title and navigation elements will remain at the top and your site will jump immediately into the content.
Tip: Use the Bio Widget to……..make it look better
